We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Outside Technical Industrial Equipment Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and building lasting relationships with our valued clients in the designated territory, including North Texas/Oklahoma. You will be responsible for making sales calls, providing technical expertise, and offering solutions to meet the power equipment needs of our customers.

Outside Sales Representative - Power Generation & Critical Power Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct sales calls and product demonstrations to end users, engineers, electrical contractors, distributors, and generator dealers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their requirements and providing suitable solutions.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and expertise in electrical theory and application to effectively communicate product features and benefits.
  • Conduct thorough research on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing, delivery, and post-sales support.
  • Continuously update knowledge on industry advancements, product offerings, and competitive landscape.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and conferences to network and promote our products.

Outside Sales Representative - Power Generation & Critical Power Position Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in technical industrial equipment, preferably in the power generation or electrical industry.
  • Proficiency in electrical theory and application, with the ability to provide technical guidance to customers.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a strong ability to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple customer accounts effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
