Empowering Minds is seeking a full-time Outreach Coordinator to enhance the agency’s mission in providing quality mental health rehabilitative services in Baltimore City/ County, Anne Arundel County, Harford County, and Prince Georges County. The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, establishing, and maintaining relationships with referral sources in the community.

The duties of the Outreach Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:

  • Expand the EMRC community network to continually drive client referrals and referral sources
  • Distribute outreach materials
  • Effectively promotes EMRC’s services and organization
  • Establish rapport with community members and increase awareness of EMRC’s services to the community and surrounding areas we serve
  • Leverages the existing network to maintain a strong relationship to continue referrals
  • Attend outreach events to distribute materials at different community locations including: community centers, libraries, churches, and different social program meetings
  • Conducts presentations to potential clients; orients clients to referral process; performs preliminary client screening including eligibility
  • Collects client information for records, eligibility documents, assessment forms, and intake documents
  • Follow-up on referrals
  • Maintain confidentiality of all clients in accordance with EMRC’s policies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services field or marketing/public relations
  • Minimum of two years experience in human services or marketing/public relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Proficient in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications such as; Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with community networking, preferably within the target communities
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and aware of community partners and resources
  • Knowledge of social media and other essential marketing platforms
  • Ability to pay attention to details and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs and time pressures
  • Ability to disseminate information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel between locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
