Summary

Title: Outreach Program Manager State Role Title: Prog Admin Manager II Hiring Range: Up to $85,000 Pay Band: 5 Agency: Dept of Veterans Services Location: JAMES MONROE BUILDING Agency Website: www.dvs.virginia.gov Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties The Outreach Program Manager will oversee and lead the agency's outreach efforts, managing and executing strategies to build and maintain relationships with specific veteran-centric target audiences, primarily within the community, to promote and advance the agency's programs, services, and initiatives. Minimum Qualifications * Budget management, responsible for developing and managing outreach budgets. * Strategic planning skills; responsible for analyzing internal and external factors, identifying opportunities and challenges, and creating strategies to guide the outreach direction for DVS -with the ultimate goal of increasing awareness of agency services and initiatives. * Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required to engage with a range of diverse audiences. * Relationship building skills. The ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and build trust. * Program management skills. Organization, planning and executing outreach programs requires strong leadership and project management abilities. * Analytical Skills. Ability to analyze data and identify solutions. * Problem solving skills. Need to be able to adapt to changing situations and find creative solutions to challenges. * Technical Skills. Working knowledge of social media platforms, website management, videography and photography skills required. Additional Considerations This position will also support the Director of Transformation. This position is the first of its kind for the agency and affords the opportunity to build an agency-wide outreach program from the ground up.
