Outpatient Utilization Management Coordinator: HealthCare Support seeks Outpatient Utilization Management Coordinator to fill a Fortune 100 company opening.
Daily Responsibilities For Outpatient Utilization Management Coordinator
Process and manage authorization requests by monitoring the fax server, verifying eligibility, reviewing referral forms for completeness, and initiating coding, ensuring all are completed within required timeframes.
Support Utilization Management operations by collaborating with UM Nurses, responding to provider inquiries, and assisting with authorizations, modifications, and denials while meeting accuracy standards.
Maintain excellent communication and customer service by professionally representing the organization in calls and interactions with providers, and assisting management or nursing staff as needed.
Shift: M-F, 8-5
Required Qualifications For Outpatient Utilization Management Coordinator
High school diploma or GED (Associates or Bachelors confirmed)
3 years of healthcare data entry experience (strong typing skills, ability to type 40+ WPM)
2 years of experience working with authorizations and referrals within a MCO or physician office setting
Experience working with ICD and CPT codes
Strong tenure in past roles, 1-2+ years in previous positions
Computer skills - Microsoft Office, strong typing skills
