Job Description
ESIS is seeking anOSHA Recordkeeping Program Associate to support the Program Manager in ensuring compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements and maintaining accurate records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and incidents. This role involves data management, report preparation, training assistance, and collaboration with various clients to foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance for client organizations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, a proactive approach to problem-solving and have strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation, and maintenance of the OSHA recordkeeping program, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
- Help track, record, and manage workplace injuries, illnesses, and incidents according to OSHA standards.
- Assist in management of ESIS staff for all reviews and reporting expectations.
- Prepare and assist in the submission of OSHA logs, forms, and reports, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
- Conduct audits and reviews of injury and illness records to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Support training sessions for staff on OSHA recordkeeping requirements and best practices.
- Stay updated on changes in OSHA regulations and industry practices; assist in communicating these changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support to the OSHA Recordkeeping Program Manager, including document management and correspondence.
- Respond to inquiries and assist with investigations related to OSHA records and compliance.
- Coordinate schedules with Program Manager during busy season: October – February
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (multiple majors will be considered).
- Preferred prior work experience, including but not limited to summer jobs, part-time roles, or internships.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and critical thinking skills.
- Technical proficiency with excel and ability to adapt to various internal systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Chicago-based preferred
The pay range for the role is $40,700 to $69,300. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
