Summary

As a vital part of our team, the Order Picker works closely with inventory managers and logistics personnel but also with customers to fulfill daily order requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels. The individual in this role must possess a keen attention to detail as they will be handling various products and packaging them correctly for purchase. Professionalism is key. This role not only requires physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks but also a strong commitment to safety standards. Successful Order Pickers contribute significantly to the overall productivity and success of our operations, making them integral to meeting our customer demands and enhancing service delivery.

Duties

  • Utilize hand-held devices or RF scanners to identify and track inventory.
  • Verify product quantities and inspect for damages before packing.
  • Maintain organization of the stock area to improve efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures while operating machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
  • Report any discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding order updates and delays.
  • Stay informed about company policies, best practices, and any changes related to order picking and inventory management.

Required Qualifications

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory.
  • Willingness to undergo background check
  • Commitment to maintaining high levels of organization and cleanliness.
  • Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills to operate scanning devices and track orders.
