Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Software Systems Engineer to join our team, ensuring the reliability, functionality, and continuous improvement of the Dept. system for our Clients Business Users. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals and work on various aspects of the system, from debugging defects to implementing updates and integrations. Your expertise in Java programming, Oracle PL/SQL scripting, and application development will be critical to our success. Responsibilities: · Provide ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the Dept system to ensure its reliability and availability for State of New Hampshire Business Users. · Debug and resolve defects in the Dept software. · Develop and implement updates and upgrades to the Dept software, web user interface, and reporting tools. · Manage updates to Dept database tables as required. · Collaborate with Clients personnel and other contractors to ensure seamless integration with connected systems. · Develop Oracle Database Action Requests (ODARs) for necessary updates. · Assist with Dept integration into downstream systems, such as Enterprise Business Intelligence and NH-ESSENCE SQL database. · Support detection and reporting of new ICD-10 codes, conditions, and reportable diseases. · Ensure compatibility with new versions of discharge codes and data from participating facilities. · Collaborate to create comprehensive test plans and diagnose system issues. · Maintain detailed documentation, including data dictionaries and data diagrams. · Adhere to SDLC processes and version control management systems. · Provide work progress updates to Project Team Lead. · Work effectively within a team, demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills. · Execute tasks with minimal direct supervision. Qualifications: · Minimum of 8-10 years of Java programming experience. · 8-10 years of Oracle PL/SQL scripting expertise. · Proficiency in Microsoft Access 2016-based application development. · Experience with Oracle APEX reporting tools. · Skilled in SQL scripting (MS-SQL). · Proficient in developing applications dependent on Tomcat Apache application server. Preferred Skills: · Interpretation and analysis of HL7 v2.X messages. · Experience with Quest TOAD for Oracle. · Familiarity with CA Harvest version control management system. · Proficiency in planning and writing Oracle Database Action Requests (ODARs). · Knowledge of log monitoring solutions like FileBeat, Elastic/Logstash, Kibana. · Experience with MS Windows Servers and RedHat Linux servers in a virtualized (VMWare) environment. · Familiarity with Rhapsody integration engine.
