Summary

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) Finance Consultant with strong experience in the EPC industry. The consultant will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and enhancing JDE Financial applications tailored for complex project-based environments, including engineering, procurement, and construction operations.

  • Strong experience in EPC industry processes: project-based accounting, WIP management, progress billing, retentions, revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15).
  • Deep knowledge of JDE modules like Job Cost (JCAT), Contract and Service Billing (BILL), General Accounting (G/L), Accounts Payable (A/P), and Accounts Receivable (A/R).
  • Expertise in financial reporting tools (One View Reporting, BI Publisher, etc.).
  • Experience with multi-currency, intercompany transactions, and tax compliance setups.
  • Understanding of EPC project lifecycle: tendering, project execution, financial forecasting, cash flow management.

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead or support the implementation and optimization of JDE Financial modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, Job Cost, Contract Billing, Project Accounting, etc.) in an EPC industry setup.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, procurement, project management, and operations) to gather and define business requirements.
  • Map business processes to JDE functionalities ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Design and configure JDE financial modules to support project-based accounting, multi-currency transactions, intercompany billing, and cost management for EPC projects.
  • Manage financial integrations with procurement, project management, and payroll systems.
  • Conduct workshops, user training, and system testing (UAT, SIT) to ensure successful deployment.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processes specific to project accounting.
  • Identify gaps, propose improvements, and manage change requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, provide ongoing support post-implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  • Work closely with technical teams for customizations, reports (UBE/BI Publisher), and interface developments.

Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000 a year
