As a Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for...
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle database systems to meet project and business requirements.
- Performing database migration projects, including upgrades and platform transitions.
- Ensuring database performance, reliability, and scalability through optimization and tuning.
- Monitoring database health, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Managing backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Configuring and maintaining database security, including user roles, privileges, and encryption.
- Collaborating with development teams to support application performance and troubleshooting.
- Providing documentation, reports, and regular maintenance support for Oracle databases.
What you already have...
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle database projects in GCC environments.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Experience with AWS RDS for Oracle and Oracle RAC.
- Experience in Oracle TDE implementation.
- Proficient in Oracle database patching, upgrades, and migration.
- Experience in database migration from on-premise to AWS has added advantage.
- Experience in writing Linux shell script to perform data validation on migrated data.
