Experience - 4 to 10

• Installing Oracle software on Windows, UNIX/Linux
• Creating Oracle databases
• Performing upgrades of the database and software to new release levels
• Database PSU Patching
• Starting up and shutting down the database
• Managing the database's storage structures
• Managing users and security
• Managing schema objects, such as tables, indexes, and views
• Making database backups and performing recovery when necessary
• Proactively monitoring the database's health and taking preventive or corrective action as and when required
• Monitoring and tuning performance
• Database RMAN full refresh.
• EXPDP and IMPDP utility, schema level refresh
• Physical and Logical standby database configuration and management
• Oracle client installation and management
• Basic understanding on UNIX/Linux
• Ensure DB availability.
• Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls.
• Actively seek to optimize and simplify our architecture.
• Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB.
• Execution of data migration jobs and scripts as required.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
• Determine and document DB policies, procedures, and standards.
• Performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Identification of bottle necks and deadlock issues.
• Ensure SLA's & operational KPI’s are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.
• Understanding and working experience in AWS RDS
