Job Description:
The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for the management, security, and architecture of Oracle databases. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our database systems, ensuring their reliability, performance, and security.
Primary Duties:
Managing all database servers and databases across the enterprise, including implementation and design to meet organizational requirements.
Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure fast query response times and minimize downtime.
Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data against loss or corruption.
Conduct regular maintenance tasks, patches, and upgrades.
Set up monitoring tools and alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Investigate and resolve database-related problems, including data inconsistencies, errors, and performance bottlenecks.
Maintain thorough documentation of database configuration, processes, and procedures.
Required Skills:
Experience working with Oracle databases 12c and higher running on Linux.
Installation, cloning, configuration, and integration of Oracle E-Business Suite (eBS) 12.2 with Oracle RDBMS 12c/19c, technical stack and custom-developed objects; monitor and troubleshoot and optimize the eBS application/database.
Experience designing, architecting, and building databases.
Familiarity with database security best practices.
Proficiency in database performance tuning and monitoring.
Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
Knowledge of business intelligence tools and concepts.
UNIX shell scripting experience to setup scripts for monitoring.
MUST HAVE SQLServer and Azure Cloud database experience.
Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
Able to work in a team as well as independently.
Preferred Skills:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., Oracle SOA Suite).
Experience implementing data standards and best practices in a growing organization.
