Summary

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database instances (versions 11g, 12c, and 19c).
  • Monitor database performance and health; perform performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Configure and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and Recovery Manager (RMAN).
  • Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN.
  • Diagnose and resolve database issues including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and system outages.
  • Manage database security including user roles, privileges, encryption, and auditing processes.
  • Perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations with minimal downtime.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using PL/SQL, Bash, and Perl scripting.
  • Monitor and manage database capacity planning, storage, and system resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and database scalability.
 Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Oracle DBA working with versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
  • Strong expertise in RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN configuration and management.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with scripting for automation (PL/SQL, Bash, Perl).
  • Solid understanding of database security best practices.
  • Ability to perform database migrations and patching with minimal impact on users.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
