Gray Tier Technologies is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator in support of DISA's Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO). Individuals should be seasoned, self-motivated, professionals with at least 10 years of hands-on engineering and administration experience in virtualized environments supporting the federal government. They should be experienced database administrators to patch, sustain, and manage the databases for SIC and JADE. These systems are highly sensitive, and configurations have impacts on national security.
With the CESO program, the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) is looking to transform the existing Secure Web Services (SWS) environment, used to provide secure information sharing to the community, into a more mature service offering to meet the DoD and IC community. Our team will manage the commercial cloud migration and disestablishment of VSD and CIS, fully automate the continuous development & continuous integration environment, fourth estate consolidation, professionalize services – ITIL/DevSecOps based processes, improve the customer experience 1st call resolution, and achieve development of a service catalog for Defense Working Capital Fund (DWCF) Model.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide application & database management services in support of software build and deployment and identity and access management (IdAM)
Create implementation plan outlining the scope, approach, and execution for all application deployments
Perform data migration from existing systems to new systems
Sustain and maintain a production database environment, a replica test database environment, and an unclassified but similar database environment
Coordinate and assist with deployment and support activities
Develop data migration plans and scripts
Update, patch, and improve the application and database as required
Provide training related to the implementation of enhanced and/or new products
Software Build And Deployment Support
Develop and document detailed technical specifications that define and support the build, test, and deployment plans for standard core SW images(s)
Conduct system-level and end-user testing
Manage deployment efforts using formal project management tools, methodologies and standards e.g. ITIL change and configuration management practices)
Support and administer SW distribution tools
Automate core SW image deployment process
Identity And Access Management (IdAM)
Integrate, sustain, and improve the key components of the attribute service to include the directory/database of attributes and the token service
Integrate, sustain, and improve the API gateway for the system and the data pulls/pushes between other required system API’s
Maintain the lifecycle of the RSA token function and expiration for the system
Integrate, sustain, and improve the registration and issuance portal, process, and system
Integrate and onboard new customer networks using IdAM solution
Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess an active DOD TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain CI Poly.
BS and 10+ years of hands-on engineering and administration experience in virtualized environments supporting the federal government. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Ability to obtain an AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification within 120 days
Must have experience as a Database Administrator to include tasks such as data migration, data replication, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, issue resolution, and general administration.
Must have experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
Experience developing database structures that fit into overall architecture of the system under development
