Position Title: Oracle Apex Developer

Location: Tallahassee, FL

General Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle APEX Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle APEX, ORDS, and other low-code development platforms, along with an understanding of APEX architecture and frameworks to contribute to the strategic planning of the platform.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Equivalent professional experience.

Experience Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in programming, system analysis, and applications/system design.
• Expertise in application development, database management, and middleware technologies.
• Proven ability to work independently on projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Experience coaching junior technical staff is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom workflows using Oracle APEX and ORDS platforms.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Oracle applications.
• Develop SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data conversion and migration.
• Create dynamic reports using Oracle APEX Reporting Tools, BI Publisher, or Oracle Reports.
• Maintain systems in compliance with DISA STIGs, NIST standards, and internal agency requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including policies, processes, and procedures.
• Perform requirements gathering, analysis, and system design activities.
• Ensure strict adherence to organizational policies and best practices.
• Support and maintain assigned applications ensuring operational excellence.

Preferred Abilities and Knowledge

• Advanced understanding of Oracle APEX framework and architecture.
• Experience maintaining systems following DISA STIGs and NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database versions 11g and above.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle Forms and Reports (10g or higher).
• Experience with Oracle APEX 4.0 and above.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience in database management and application tuning.
• Strong background in documenting technical processes and user manuals.
• Ability to adapt and work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and database security principles.
