Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Work on the optical and RF simulation of PAM4 optical transceivers for datacenter, AI/ML, HPC applications * Perform E2E (end-to-end) link simulation of optical transceiver designs involving various high-speed SerDes, DSP block, PCB design, optical transmitter/receiver, optical fiber characteristics * Optimize the electrical/optical architecture, interface, and performance of optical transceivers meeting customers' requirements Education & Experience * B.S. with 5 years of related experience, or M.S. with 3 years, or Ph.D. with less than 1 year * Extensive simulation and analysis experience using various computational languages and tools * Sound knowledge and expertise in high-speed RF devices, photonics, and optoelectronics desired, but not required * Familiarity with high-speed optical transceivers desired, but not required Skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Strong analytical problem-solving skills for product design and debug * Solid computational skills to solve complex problems * Willingness and excitement in addressing new challenges for robust optical and/or RF designs and proposing options for solutions or alternatives Working Conditions * * May require occasional off-site meetings or travel * Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary * Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job * Physical Requirements * Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings. * Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. * Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. * Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. * Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
