Summary
As an Electrical Plating Technician, you will be responsible for conducting tin-lead, nickel, or gold metal finish through electroplating processes. You will ensure high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate electroplating equipment according to specifications.
- Prepare surfaces for plating by cleaning and masking as required.
- Monitor plating processes, adjusting parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Conduct inspections of plated parts for quality assurance, identifying defects and inconsistencies.
- Maintain proper chemical balances and perform regular maintenance on plating baths.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support in troubleshooting issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous work experience in manufacturing and/or the aerospace industry preferred
- Previous experience or training in electroplating, metal finishing is preferred
- Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- US Citizen or Permanent resident (Green Card Holder)
Physical Demands
As a routine part of work, employees will generally be required to use their hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools (including small tools) or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; stand and sit for long periods of time; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
