Summary

Position Overview CenerTech Canada Ltd. is seeking Process operator Trainees for to join our Oil Sands operations. Our asset expansion plans are ramping up and creating multiple quality opportunities for Process operator Trainees at the established Long Lake SAGD facility as well as the Kinosis 1A facility. This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive Position. You will be working a 14 on – 14 off shift, days and nights (subject to change). As a Fort McMurray based Process operator Trainees, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant process equipment. This includes interacting with and supporting the Maintenance, Technical, and Health, Safety, Environmental and Social Responsibility teams within the Oilsands Division of the North American business. Job Duties & Responsibilities Assist in operating and monitoring process equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. Learn to perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Work under the supervision of experienced operators to understand process flow, quality control measures, and emergency procedures. Participate in training programs and certification courses to develop technical skills and knowledge. Maintain accurate records of operations, including shift logs, production data, and equipment performance. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations. Education & Experience: Experience in hands-on support of operations technical, and maintenance work teams. An inter-provincial 4th class Power Engineering Certificate valid for Alberta. Experience in developing standard operating procedures. Strong organization planning and new infrastructure development skills. Must have MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook). Good written and verbal communication. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required. Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
