Summary

National company in the commercial custom maintenance and floor restoration services is seeking an Operations Supervisor for in Beltsville, MD. This position with directly support and be the right hand to the Operations Manager for the 2nd shift hours, approximately 2:00pm to midnight. Excellent salary, bonus and benefits.


RESPONSIBILITES

  • Coordinate operational resources daily to ensure service delivery meets and exceeds the client’s expectations.
  • Ensuring individual tasks are aligned with the team’s strategic goals.
  • Provide feedback and solutions by monitoring daily activities of the operations team.
  • Develops skills and knowledge of all restoration and maintenance services provided.
  • Provides direct supervision of operational activities.
  • Recommends adjusts to delivery and frequency of services to be an asset to the client.
  • Manage national accounts; field calls and request; serve as liaison between company, clients and subcontractors.
  • Fosters a consistent flow of communication with clients, technicians, and management
  • Ensures all work is completed per work order instructions and ensures work orders are then completed with all proper time and notes captured
  • Ensures all scheduled jobs come in at budgeted scheduled hours or better.
  • Maintains the ability to take pro-active and creative approaches in resolving any challenges.
  • Understand/accurately perform all cleaning (restorative/maintenance) methods for carpet, furniture and wall panels, to include upholstery, fabric, and leather.
  • Understand and accurately perform cleaning (restorative and maintenance) methods for hard surfaces including but not limited to ceramic, porcelain and stone Understand and accurately perform water damage restoration.
  • Complete work order paperwork after each job and notify supervisor of any special circumstances including photo narratives as appropriate.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work area including the use of caution signs and barriers.
  • Responsible for care and cleanliness of cleaning equipment and vehicles.
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Pursue obtaining IICRC certifications in commercial carpet, upholstery, water restoration and ceramic tile.
  • Follow rules, policies, regulations as outlined in company handbook.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand and walk, frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, frequently lift and or up to 50 pounds.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in facility management, floor restoration or janitorial services
  • 5+ years in supervising, staffing, scheduling, dispatching and routing required.
  • Knowledge of establishing and adjusting labor force by monitoring costs, budgeted hours and branch workload.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Possess personal professional appearance, problem-solving, organizational and team working skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop subordinates required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle changing priorities, manage staff and achieve desired objectives while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to achieve desired contractual objectives.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.
