This position is responsible for monitoring staff to ensure all distribution duties are completed. Supervise the assigned specific operational area(s) within the warehouse to maximize productivity, employee morale, and ensure that all department service levels are achieved. The Operations III Supervisor will support the development of a positive, collaborative work environment by encouraging open communication, recognizing employee contributions, and helping implement initiatives that promote employee retention and satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor employee and department performance and provide an action plan to maximize productivity while utilizing Labor Management System.
Adequately plan and schedule personnel, equipment, and supplies to maximize efficient flow of materials within the warehouse
Assist management in developing, implementing, and managing financial and operational plans on a daily, weekly, and annual basis
Hire, motivate, and train new and current employees
Provide staff the proper materials, information, and guidance to achieve the daily goals of the department
Ensure the timely, accurate, and damage-free handling of materials and merchandise
Provide safe work environment and make sure employees are handling merchandise and equipment in a safe manner to prevent injuries
Ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly and bi-yearly cleaning and housekeeping initiatives are successfully achieved

Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma required OR Associates Degree in Logistics or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job preferred
6+ years progressive Operations experience with a degree or 7+ years’ experience without a degree required
Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred
Lean SixSigma Green Belt preferred
Proficiency in personal computer, radio frequency, WMS and/or other similar technologies
Ability to operate machinery within the facility, including a forklift, as required
Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based upon the information received
Interpersonal skills required to deal effectively and efficiently with employees and management
Ability to react quickly and effectively to changes in the schedule
High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools and forklifts
Ability to work overtime as necessary
