About the Role:
Assess and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in the Retail environment. Conducts reviews for the operational controls and regulatory compliance of branches and departments. Collaborate with risk partners to assess the effectiveness of the bank’s controls and management within the Retail and Department production team footprint.
- Oversight of operational process performance within the Retail and Department production team footprint, ensuring controls are in place and performed according to documented policies and procedures and with minimal risk.
- Execute assigned tasks in conformity with deadlines and budget expectations.
- Responsible for preparing and conducting branch and department reviews.
- Identify and report operational and compliance deficiencies to senior management for their awareness. Recommend solutions and monitor for results post-implementation.
- Participate in discussions with review clients/management regarding results of testing to validate facts and circumstances, establishing the basis for review testing conclusions and/or reportable findings.
- Participate as requested for projects.
- Actively participate in reviewing and updating operational procedures in alignment with banking regulations and laws.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality related to discoveries in the review process.
- Participate on project teams associated with corporate change initiatives, policy/procedure implementation and/or merger and acquisition activities.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

About You:
- H.S. Diploma/GED, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, information technology, or related business or technical field or equivalent operational/technical experience, preferred.
- 2-4 years of retail bank operations experience, required.
- 1-2 years Supervisory or team lead experience in a position responsible for operational controls in a retail banking environment, preferred.
- 1-2 years general familiarity with banking and financial services regulatory requirements, such as FDIC, required.
- 1-2 years of audit/risk management experience within Retail, Private Bank, BSA/AML, or Commercial highly desired.
- Possess strong analytical, research, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to team and effectively work with team members across diverse geographical locations.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of branch operations, banking regulations, policies, practices, required documentation and possess ability to influence others regarding related compliance.
- Ability to create and implement banking policies, procedures and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals and groups across the bank.
- Ability to facilitate training for small or large audiences or have an interest in learning to train and present.
- Ability to take initiative and effectively multitask and prioritize workload.
- Proficient with computer software programs including banking systems, Word, Excel and use of other business machines and software.
- Understanding of current banking regulations and practices.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory variances by state or other areas of operation.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $27.00 - $42.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
