Position: Operations Research Analyst

Location: Suffolk, VA

Overview: Group W is searching for an operations research and scientific analyst with subject matter expertise in the area of Computer and Information Systems.

Requirements

• 0 - 15+ years' experience or the ability to learn, understand and apply research development and design principles methods and practices
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other related disciplines
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
• U.S. Citizenship required
  
  

Preferred

• Proven experience using research concepts, practices, and procedures in operational environments and programming
• Master's and Ph.D. preferred for more senior positions
• Ability to develop and brief analysis results to internal and external leadership
• Ability to manage a wide variety of complicated tasks concurrently
• Ability to lead, manage, and direct others as requested
  
  

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform junior to high-level systems research, analysis, design, documentation, and integration related to military systems capabilities and operational objectives
• Assist in defining research scope and objectives to optimize military decision making and policy formulation
• Use modeling and research methods to facilitate the development of innovative and cost-effective strategies, products, and software technologies
• Collect and analyze data to develop decision support for complex information services or products
• Perform risk assessments and recommend process improvement techniques related to research objectives
• Participate in presentations, training, and briefings as requested
• Complete documentation related to research tasks and scope
• Provide consultation on complex projects at the highest levels as requested
  
  

Salary: $85,000-$175,000 (provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
