Compensation: $70,000- $80,000 annually + 10% Bonus Potential

PURPOSE
The Operations Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing operational projects, ensuring the smooth implementation of new processes or system upgrades while maintaining efficiency and quality standards within the organization. This role will also support Regional VPs in driving initiatives to improve operational execution across each region. The Operations Project Manager will develop project plans, manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional teams, and monitor progress to achieve desired outcomes on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk assessments for operational improvement initiatives.
- Define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics to ensure alignment with business goals and operational improvement objectives.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities to achieve project objectives.
- Develop an operational calendar to support ongoing communication, follow-up of key events, initiatives, training sessions, and tasks.
- Support Senior Regional Directors by driving and coordinating operational initiatives aimed at elevating and aligning operational performance across the club portfolio.
- Assist Senior Regional Directors in identifying operational gaps, streamlining processes, and implementing solutions to optimize portfolio performance.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment on project initiatives and operational improvements.
- Communicate project status updates, risks, and mitigation plans effectively to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in operations.
- Proactively address concerns and resolve conflicts to maintain positive working relationships across departments and regions.
Change Management
- Develop and execute change management plans to minimize disruption and facilitate smooth transitions during the implementation of new processes or systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure proper adoption of new operational procedures.
- Partner with VP of operations to drive the successful implementation of change initiatives at the regional level.
- Partner with Support Teams (Brand, HR, Finance, IT) when necessary to ensure that changes/project rolled out are effectively communicated to both field and support teams.
Operational Performance Support
- Work with regional teams to track progress on operational initiatives, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to Senior Regional Directors on improving operational processes and meeting KPIs.
- Foster best practices and collaboration among regions to drive continuous improvement and achieve greater operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify operational inefficiencies and develop solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional leadership.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, ASANA, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
- Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
- Experience in supporting regional teams or directors to drive operational improvements (preferred).
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primary work in a fitness facility and office setting. Temperature variations can occur. The environment includes some ambient noise such as talking and use of gym equipment and machinery. This position will travel as needed and determined by the VP of Operations.
Physical And Mental Activities And Requirements
- Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Physical Strength: Non-Sedentary work, standing and walking most of the time. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions and relay instructions to clients.
- Attendance is an essential duty of the position. Employees must work regularly scheduled shifts, during business hours to assist members and sell services in-person.
