Scandinavian Building Services Inc. is looking to add an Operations Manager to the Scandi Family in Tampa Bay Florida! You will be solely responsible for handling large cleaning crews of up to 100 staff for one of our largest accounts in the event/ hospitality industry during events. You will act as main point of contact and liaison for cleaning crews and our client during the events. When there is down time during the event schedule you will be assisting the client with any janitorial needs that arise and taking care of operational day to day needs to ensure when events are taking place all runs smoothly. What your day to day looks like: Reporting into the Regional Director you will be taking care of the day to day operations of this account and events the role will be 50% AM and 50% people management. * Account Management; Creating and fostering strong relationships with key clients and store managers. Handling all complaints or issues in a prompt and timely fashion ensuring utmost satisfaction at all times * People Management; Handling all personnel issues for the hourly Cleaners at your sites for both internal and subcontractors including; scheduling, conflicts, hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary action What you'll need to succeed: * 2-3 years in a previous Supervisor or Manager position * Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license * Most important to us is strong customer service skills, excellent communication and ability to have foresight and plan ahead * Ability to lead a team while fostering a strong team connection and collaboration handling high pressured stressful situations * Flexible schedule depending on client needs and events times can include overnight or late night shifts * Willingness to learn the cleaning industry Additional Job Details: * Must be available 24/7 in case of emergency or client needs * Competitive Wages are offered as per industry standards * iPad, Cell Phone and Computer provided * Gas allowance provided At Scandinavian Building Services we are an equal opportunity employer who values a diverse workplace.
