Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Operations Manager to join the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA).
The 330km Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Project by Anglian Water is under construction and will be completed during AMP8. Beyond this we have a further 260km of water transfer pipelines and associated infrastructure to be delivered in AMP8.
What will you be doing as our new Operations Manager?
This role is responsible for ensuring and supporting a consistent approach to comply with the Alliances systems and procedures across the programme. You will be key in terms of managing the Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability of our people and projects.
You will oversee and support the management of consistent quality, cost and timely delivery of all construction activities carried out on site, ensuring optimisation of resources across the programme.
You will work with the PAM team to support and ensure all construction activities are consistent in compliance with the scheme deliverables, from development stage, ready to go to site, and project completion with zero defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction and enabling works to deliver world class performance as expected of one of the largest water / environment programmes in the UK.
- Develop a high-performing integrated programme across SPA.
- Establish clear and consistent interpretation of the SPA standards.
- Support Operational team members to perform their role and delivery of the SPA standards.
- Establish a culture of coaching and feedback.
- Support clear delivery to SPA standards and consistency across SPA programme.
- Work with the PAMs to establish long-term programme resource needs, future view on resources and DLO strategy if applicable
- Ensure that H&S is not comprised at any time or in any circumstances, and that standards are understood and implemented consistently
- Ensure constructability review outputs are shared across SPA and that we consistently use optimum methods.
A Little Bit About Your Skills, Experience And Behaviours
- A leader with previous experience of construction delivery of large complex infrastructure projects, ideally within the water sector.
- Significant reputable Construction and H&S experience
- Experience of managing teams on large projects or programmes with values over £50M.
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholder groups; internal and external to the organisation.
- Experience of working in an Alliance framework structure.
- A Full UK driving licence
