The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the company. Operations Managers achieve their objective by ensuring every event and venue is fully staffed and supported with trained, professional, and dedicated security guards and supervisors. The Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations and shares the responsibility of managing the team of Shift Supervisors with the other Operations Managers.
Essential Functions
Operations Managers are responsible for the entire operation of the organization and, as such, can expect to have responsibilities and duties not outlined below.
Recruit, hire, and train security guards and shift supervisors in order to maintain an adequately staffed roster
Manage the implementation of a security staffing and logistics plan for each event/venue as assigned by the Director of Operations
Ensure all staff are knowledgeable and following all policies and procedures per IESS, event, or venue protocols
Conduct site visits and staff inspections regularly for assigned events/venues
Ensure open and clear lines of communication exist across the organizational chart
Interact with and be the main point of contact for clients
Forecast staffing needs based on weather, days of week, length of show, and other relevant factors
Ensure Shift Supervisors are enforcing all IESS policies at all times
Oversee, coach, develop, and discipline both direct and indirect reports as required
When necessary, fill in as a Shift Supervisor or Security Guard to avoid an unstaffed post
Additional Responsibilities
Attend or oversee all required trainings as directed by executive management
Collaborate with the management team in order to ensure IESS is always efficient and improving
Maintain an "open door" policy for employee concerns at all levels of the organization
Network at industry events
Travel when required, occasionally overnight

Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 25 years of age or older
Must have a high school diploma or GED
2 years college preferred
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug screening.
Must possess a valid US drivers license
Must pass a Driver's Record check
Must have a flexible schedule which includes working some nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate
Must have at least 3 years experience managing others directly
Neat and professional appearance
Upbeat, friendly, and personable demeanor
Must be able to handle urgent situations with calm and poise
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks
Must be proficient in computer skills and fluent in Microsoft programs
