This Operations Director (M/F) position is based near Turin in Italy and entails full leadership of industrial operations for several key production facilities.

Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will play a central role in a context of transformation and performance acceleration. You will work in close coordination with HSE and QHSE managers, as well as local and international teams, to drive operational excellence, strengthen key industrial KPIs, and foster a culture of engagement and accountability and lean manufacturing.

Main responsibilities :

Operational Performance

Ensure daily site operations run efficiently and reliably. Monitor key KPIs such as uptime, OEE, and cost per ton to meet business targets and service levels.

Process & Cost Optimization

Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, 5S) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource use. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across operations.

Team Leadership & Development

Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of safety, ownership, and accountability. Encourage cross-functional collaboration and support employee growth and engagement.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, labor, and environmental regulations. Oversee quality control and implement preventive measures to minimize operational and compliance risks.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to align operations with strategic goals. Manage supplier and contractor relationships, ensuring service levels and cost efficiency.

Strategic & Financial Oversight

Contribute to the industrial roadmap. Develop and manage the site’s budget, track investments, and support long-term planning with data-driven insights.

☑️ Your key skills & profile

Profile

Senior industrial executive with at least 15 years of experience in heavy industry (cement, steel, mining, construction materials…).

Proven experience as Operations Director or Industrial Site Manager.

Familiar with complex and unionized environments.

Track record of delivering operational improvements and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Key skills

Fluent in English and preferably Italian (or willing to learn rapidly).

Strong leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Results-oriented with a hands-on mindset.

Experience with industrial compliance and interface with public authorities (e.g. DREAL, ARPA).

Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma knowledge is a strong asset.
