Thacker is looking for an Operations Manager who is ready to grow with us! This position is responsible for all operations at various warehouse locations. This position is key to ensuring high levels of customer care by making sure our warehouses are following procedures.

Our customers are funeral homes and it is Operations' job to ensure all deliveries are made on time and accurately. Lead time is short so attention to detail is a must as there is little margin for fixing errors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations across multiple warehouse locations along the East Coast.
• Directly supervise Warehouse Managers, each of whom leads a team of drivers and warehouse staff.

Team Leadership & Training:

• Ensure Warehouse Managers are properly trained and aligned with company standards and protocols.
• Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to improve team performance.

Fleet Compliance:

• Ensure all company fleet vehicles comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety requirements.
• Partner with maintenance providers and internal teams to monitor fleet readiness and inspections.

Expense & Budget Management:

• Monitor and control operational expenses.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service or safety.

Inventory & Logistics Management:

• Resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure effective inventory control procedures.
• Assist with logistics planning and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Process Improvement:

• Drive efficiency through process improvements, technology implementation, and performance metrics.
• Proactively identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• Able to lift heavy products 50+ pounds
• Over the age of 21
• 5+ years management experience
• Dependable and punctual
• DOT, if none a DOT physical will need to be completed once hired.
