As Operations Manager Global Supply Points, you play a key role in realizing our ambition to Feed the Future by ensuring our operations run smoothly, cost-effectively and in full compliance with quality, environmental and safety standards.


As a member of the Global Supply Points Leadership team, you are responsible for the strategic and operational performance of our production sites. You are responsible for executing the Global Supply Points 3-year strategic (operational) plan, translating this into roadmaps per site together with the Plant Managers. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, people leadership and cross-functional collaboration, you enable the organization to meet its targets and grow sustainably.


About The Operations Manager:

Responsibilities

  • Translate the overarching business strategy into a clear operational roadmap.
  • Formulate and execute annual operational plans and budgets together with the Plant Managers. Ensure cost-effective operations (OPEX, CAPEX, inventory), monitor performance, and play a key role in the monthly IBP process with the support of Supply Chain, Sales and Finance.
  • Provide clear leadership to operational teams. Set individual goals, coach for performance, and create a culture of accountability, mobility and collaboration.
  • Secure compliance with all relevant HSE, Quality and Environmental regulations and embed these values into daily operations.
  • Deliver timely and insightful reporting on key operational KPIs.


Skills And Expertise

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Management or a related technical/scientific field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in operations, production, or supply chain management, preferably in an international or multi-site manufacturing environment. Feed/Food is a pre.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies; experience with deployment of global programs such as Lean / Six Sigma / TPM is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.


Expectation from Role:

  • Deliver operational excellence across global sites by standardizing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring full alignment with Nutreco’s quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Lead strategic transformation initiatives, including the implementation of Lean and MyWorkplace programs, to drive continuous improvement and long-term efficiency gains.
  • Develop and empower high-performing local teams, creating a strong leadership pipeline and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
