OPERATIONS MANAGER (EXPORT AND IMPORT OPERATIONS)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Operations to lead our operations team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our international trading company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire operations lifecycle, from procurement to logistics, and ensuring that all operations are conducted in a compliant, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

• Location : AHMEDABAD
• Experience : At least 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in an international trading company.
• Salary : 10.00 LPA TO 18.00 LPA
• Education : Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  
  

Key Requirements :-

Expertise In International Shipping Documents

• Strong knowledge of Bills of Lading (B/L), Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Inspection Certificates.
• Proven experience in managing cross-border trade documentation efficiently and accurately.Operations and
  
  

Legalities

• Hands-on experience in supply chain logistics, marine law, customs procedures, and export/import regulations.
• Familiarity with legal compliance and international trade requirements.Thorough Knowledge of UCP 600:
• In-depth understanding of Letters of Credit (LCs), compliance requirements, and banking terms under UCP 600.Shipment Control and Coordination:
• Expertise in end-to-end shipment processes: booking, execution, tracking, and issue resolution.
• Skilled at coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  
  

Leadership And Team Management

• Demonstrated ability to lead and guide teams handling shipping, logistics, and trade operations.
• Strong mentorship skills to improve team efficiency and ensure workflow compliance.
  
  

Technical Proficiency

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Familiarity with digital platforms for shipment tracking, data management, and operational efficiency.|
  
  

Communication And Planning Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication for engaging with international suppliers, buyers, shipping agents, and banks.
• Proactive and detail-oriented planning to mitigate risks and ensure timely execution.
