The Opportunity:
The OE Manager is responsible for leading regional, commercial, and industrial teams in achieving operational excellence through safety, standardization, and quality assurance-orchestrated to preserve our valuable human, material, and brand assets while maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction. This involves supervising, updating, implementing, and improving established OE programs, procedures, checklists, and policy standards. The successful candidate develops and maintains governance documents (policies, standards, procedures, etc.) and proctors training to implement and maintain the Parkland Operational Excellence Management System (POEMS). In concert with a formal reporting, investigation, and improvement system, POEMS optimizes operational efficiency, manages evolving risk, preserves supplier equities, and ensures regulatory compliance across Parkland USA's non-retail sites and areas of operation.
Secondary: Assists other Managers within the OE Department in identifying and bridging POEMS gaps, alignment with OE targets, and general information pertaining to Cority and additional Parkland operations systems.
Responsibilities:
* Develops, maintains, implements, and continuously improves Branch OE programs, governance documents, and enabling activities to manage operational risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and enforcement authorities
* Manages POEMS training and licensing programs per the OE SOP
* Coordinates the OE assessment program (external and internal) including insurance underwriter and parent corporation programs
* Conducts basic product integrity testing to confirm the identity, purity and quality of incoming and delivered fuel and lubricants as required
* Develops and manages POEMS-related applications, tools, and product samples
* Coordinates with, and evaluates local Branch, Plant, and Facilities Managers for program objective adherence
* Training presentations, both verbal and in written form

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree. Preference for Occupational or Environmental Safety, English, or STEM fields
* Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in management role in industry
* High level of motivation and ability to work hard
* High level of focus on quality of work and attention to detail
* Strong team orientation balanced with the ability to work autonomously on projects and initiatives
* Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA)
* Strong verbal & English written communication skills
* Ability to work as a team member in a distributed workforce
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
* Previous experience in training program development and implementation
* Working knowledge of the oil and gas industry is an asset
* Basic knowledge of chemistry, physics, and math
* Frequent travel within the region and to other locations as required-with approximately 60% travel within Parkland USA region.
