Summary

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Perform Calibration: Calibrate various measurement and testing instruments including Calibration of production equipment, tools, gauges, weighing scales, balances, sensors, pH meters, refractometers, precision movement, positioning, controllers, transmitters, counters and timers, spectrometers and optical comparators, flowmeters, force, torque measurement equipment, tools, thermometers, thermocouples, and RTDs, pressure measurement, using established procedures and calibration standards. Calibration Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records, certificates, and documentation according to industry regulations and organizational standards. Data Analysis: Analyze calibration data to identify trends, patterns, and potential instrument inaccuracies. Take corrective actions when necessary. Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve measurement discrepancies and calibration related issues. Diagnose instrument malfunctions and recommend appropriate solutions. Procedure Development: Develop and update calibration procedures, protocols, and guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate calibration processes. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to calibration. Ensure compliance with [relevant industry standards and regulations]. Training and Support: Provide training and support to other team members regarding calibration techniques, procedures, and equipment usage. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Graduate of BS Engineering/Technology (Preferably in the fields of Electronics & Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metrology, Industrial Technology or BS in a related field) Undergone certifications from DTI, DOST & TESDA regarding electronics, instrumentation, and quality assurance. Taken courses in understanding industry regulations and standards (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540, etc.) related to calibration processes and documentation. International Certifications i.e. Certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ), such as Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), and local certifications from the Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ) can be an advantage. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE(S) REQUIRED Metrology: Understanding of measurement principles, units, and standards. Proficiency in working with measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, etc. Instrumentation Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of measurement and testing instruments, including electronic, mechanical, and dimensional devices. Calibration Procedures: Ability to create and follow calibration procedures, protocols, and guidelines to ensure accurate and consistent results. Data Analysis: Skill in analyzing calibration data to determine accuracy and precision, identifying trends, and making necessary adjustments. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and rectify measurement errors or inaccuracies in equipment.
