Summary

The Director of Operations is a key member of the franchisor staff who provides field support to Living Assistance Services Inc (LAS) franchisees. This role reports directly to the Associate Senior Vice President of Operations.


Territory Area: West Coast and Central US. Preferred that the candidate lives in that area of their home territory.


CLASSIFICATION: Salaried, Exempt


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The duties and responsibilities described below do not represent a comprehensive list for this position. Additional tasks may be assigned periodically as necessitated by business demands.
  • Provides phone, video call and email consultation to franchisees.
  • Conducts regional meetings as well as one-to-one meetings throughout assigned regions.
  • Provides coaching on all areas of business operations.
  • Encourages participation in corporate training programs and events.
  • Delivers presentations for small and large groups as needed.
  • Evaluates resource development needed to assist franchisor.
  • Develops franchisee resource materials to assist with day-to-day operations of their franchise(s).
  • Builds franchisor systems, processes, and personnel needed to develop and support franchisees.
  • Analyzes profit and loss statements and business KPIs.
  • Collaborates with the Operations leadership team to ensure uniformity in implementation of strategic direction and initiatives
  • throughout the organization.
  • Effectively communicates mission, vision, values and key strategies of the organization to the franchisees.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve operations support resources.
  • Establishes priorities and provides leadership in situations that require escalation.
  • Travel required up to 50% within the domestic United States.


QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or health care administration or other related health care degrees
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role in private pay home care operations or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Expertise in leadership, operational management, P&L and KPI analysis.
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and logical thinking skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related Google applications.
  • Ability to utilize corporate Angel Resource Center (ARC) platform.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with franchisees.
  • Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, leadership team, supervisors, clients, vendors and all business associates within or outside the company.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and accurately complete work activities within allotted deadlines while managing interruptions.
  • Work independently and proactively with minimal direction and/or supervision.
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, and diplomatically – both orally and in writing.
  • Valid licensed driver with state-required proof of insurance.
  • Must reside within a one-hour drive of a major metropolitan airport to accommodate frequent travel requirements.
  • Ability to lawfully work in the United States.


PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift, push or pull items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform tasks involving a combination of sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stooping, walking, twisting, and climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to fully meet the requirements of this position.
