This position is based out of Minnetonka, MN. Candidate must be in the area and able to come to the office as needed.

What you’ll do

As a U&I Entertainment Operations Associate on the Gamestop team, you will be responsible for executing operational functions across the supply chain, ranging from domestic inventory buying to shipping to the customer. This position interfaces with warehouse partners, wholesale suppliers, internal business teams, and retailer inventory, forecast, and buying teams.

How you’ll do it

• Build strong and credible relationships with supplier partners, our warehouse partners, and our internal IT, Finance, and business teams
• Be an integral thought partner in the business by working closely with internal sales and account managers to drive sales and profitability
• Problem solve and improve U&I’s logistical performance from our suppliers to the retailers we service

Sales Order Processing

• Write and process sales orders for multiple supplier partners and secure product for retail accounts
• Monitor and communicate the progress of order shipments to internal teams and retail partners
• Ensure inventory receipt at warehouse is correct and matches retailer order and delivery expectations
• Forecast and communicate anticipated future orders to supplier partners
• Identify supply chain efficiencies to improve inventory turns, on-time ship, reliability and profitability
• Analyze supplier partner performance metrics and identify issues and root-causes, ultimately improving performance issues or problems
• Tracking shipment status of direct-to-store and warehouse orders for the retailer

Forecasting and Inventory Management

• Work with Sales to understand new products and collaborate on sales forecast to ensure proper inventory flow to support retailer needs
• Proactively communicate potential inventory availability issues and solutions to internal team and retail partners
• Monitor warehouse inventory levels compared to retailer needs and order replenishment to meet retailer supply needs

What you’ll need

• Ability to build strong relationships with supplier partners, retail customers, warehouse, and our internal IT, Finance, and U&I team
• Effective organization skills and the ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Clear and effective communication skills both verbally (confident) and written (concise)
• Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with little supervision
• Working knowledge of retailer’s internal item and inventory management systems, and/or ecommerce systems is a plus
• Functional knowledge of MS Excel (sorting/grouping data, pivot tables, v lookups, etc)
• Understand retailer and U&I Entertainment business acumen and levers impacting performance
• Curiosity to problem-solve and improve Operational performance

What you’ve done

• Four-year college degree preferred
• 1-2 years working with Retail, Supply Chain, or Logistics
