RK Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Operations and Compliance Manager responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant management of warehouse operations, including hazardous materials. This role involves overseeing the proper handling, storage, and transportation of materials to prevent any potential harm to employees, the environment, and the surrounding community. The manager will also oversee overall warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, optimal space utilization, and adherence to safety protocols. The Warehouse Operations and Compliance Manager's role is to develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive warehouse and hazardous material management programs, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant state, federal, and company regulations and policies. This includes staying up to date with changing regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections, and providing necessary training and guidance to staff. The goal is to maintain a safe working environment and optimize warehouse operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee overall warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of all materials.
• Ensure warehouse staff adhere to safety protocols and proper handling procedures for all materials.
• Coordinate with warehouse management to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
• Monitor and improve warehouse processes to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement warehouse and hazardous material management programs and policies.
• Implement and maintain emergency response planning and drills.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of warehouse and hazardous material storage areas.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive warehouse and hazardous material management.
• Manage and maintain regulatory permits and ensure compliance with relevant rules.
• Conduct training on warehouse operations and hazardous material management and safety procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on warehouse operations and hazardous material handling and safety procedures.
• Track and document training completion to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Manage the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Maintain accurate records of warehouse inventories and disposal activities.
• Support overall facility operations to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to you.
  
  

Abilities

• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Fluency and working knowledge of UL Standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills Needed

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations and hazardous materials regulatory management.
• Certifications in Hazardous Materials Management (e.g., HAZWOPER, UL 1642, ISO 45001, NFPA 70E, etc).
