Our fintech client, a rapidly growing SaaS firm based in Dallas, specializes in delivering innovative, tech-enabled solutions to hedge funds and investment firms. Their mission is to empower asset managers with a single source of truth to drive data-driven decisions and sustained business growth. As part of their expansion, they are building a new Middle Office Operations Team focused on securities and bond operations. About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operations Analyst (Securities) to help build and support this newly forming team. You will play a critical role in daily trade settlement, corporate actions, reconciliation processes, and operational support across multiple asset classes — with a primary focus on fixed income instruments such as corporate bonds, CLOs, ABS, and private credit.
You will collaborate across internal departments and directly with clients, vendors, and counterparties to ensure a seamless execution of operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily trade settlement activities across fixed income and credit products
- Manage lifecycle events including tenders, calls, mergers, stock splits, restructures, and corporate action voting
- Oversee operational workflows for restructures and exits
- Affirmation and confirmation of trades, especially within fixed income
- Conduct position and cash reconciliations in collaboration with clients and internal teams
- Liaise with external counterparties and vendors for ongoing support and oversight
- Track performance metrics and ensure adherence to quality control benchmarks
- Comply with and enforce operational policies and documentation
- Contribute to internal training programs and help prepare onboarding materials
- Be available for extended hours during peak periods (month-end/quarter-end)
- Expectation of 45–50 work hours per week
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in operations, middle office, or securities support
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Required Skills & Experience
- Bond and trade settlement experience (MUST)
- In-depth understanding of corporate bonds, CLOs, ABS, and private credit instruments
- Knowledge of full trade lifecycle, including settlements and trade support
- Strong corporate actions experience: tenders, calls, splits, auctions, bankruptcies
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail, self-starter mentality, and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment
- Open to working in a start-up style team with evolving responsibilities
Nice to Have
- Experience using DTC Alert and DTC CTM
- Background in loan administration and settlements
- Familiarity with LendAmend, Solvas, and/or WSO
