Their mission is to empower asset managers with a single source of truth to drive data-driven decisions and sustained business growth. As part of their expansion, they are building a new Middle Office Operations Team focused on securities and bond operations. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level of a fast-paced, start-up-style team with significant growth potential!

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operations Analyst (Securities) to help build and support this newly forming team. You will play a critical role in daily trade settlement, corporate actions, reconciliation processes, and operational support across multiple asset classes — with a primary focus on fixed income instruments such as corporate bonds, CLOs, ABS, and private credit.

You will collaborate across internal departments and directly with clients, vendors, and counterparties to ensure a seamless execution of operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily trade settlement activities across fixed income and credit products
  • Manage lifecycle events including tenders, calls, mergers, stock splits, restructures, and corporate action voting
  • Oversee operational workflows for restructures and exits
  • Affirmation and confirmation of trades, especially within fixed income
  • Conduct position and cash reconciliations in collaboration with clients and internal teams
  • Liaise with external counterparties and vendors for ongoing support and oversight
  • Track performance metrics and ensure adherence to quality control benchmarks
  • Comply with and enforce operational policies and documentation
  • Contribute to internal training programs and help prepare onboarding materials
  • Be available for extended hours during peak periods (month-end/quarter-end)
  • Expectation of 45–50 work hours per week

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, middle office, or securities support
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bond and trade settlement experience (MUST)
  • In-depth understanding of corporate bonds, CLOs, ABS, and private credit instruments
  • Knowledge of full trade lifecycle, including settlements and trade support
  • Strong corporate actions experience: tenders, calls, splits, auctions, bankruptcies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail, self-starter mentality, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment
  • Open to working in a start-up style team with evolving responsibilities

Nice to Have

  • Experience using DTC Alert and DTC CTM
  • Background in loan administration and settlements
  • Familiarity with LendAmend, Solvas, and/or WSO
