Operational Risk Manager

A Global Financial Services Firm requires a Contract Operational Risk Manager to help refresh their Op Risk function by leading and being involved in the end to end Op Risk rejuvenation.

• Day Rate: £700 - £800pd
• IR35 Status: Inside
• Travel: 3 days a week in Central London
• Duration: 12 months

This Operational Risk Manager will have the following previous experience:

• Worked as an Operational Risk Manager within Financial Services before
• Led an end to end Operational Risk refresh through to Audit with first hand experience with:
• -Writing controls
• -Documentation
• -Control assurance testing

• Identify key business-operated controls aligned with specific regulatory themes (e.g., Communications & Marketing, KYC, Conflicts of Interest).
• Collaborate with business units and Compliance to perform risk and control assessments, determine residual risk per regulatory theme, and ensure documentation is current and approved within the system.
• Conduct testing to evaluate both the design and operational effectiveness of critical controls.
• Document and log any control deficiencies or gaps identified during assessments into the system as formal issues.
