Summary

WHAT - Summary & Purpose Of The Position

The Operational Excellence Manager provides high-quality project coordination and business administrative support to the North America Medical Affairs team. This role serves as the project management lead for ongoing initiatives across Medical Affairs, acting as the primary point of contact for project tracking, reporting processes, meeting coordination, and follow-up on action items. The manager plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and alignment across cross-functional teams by driving structured project execution and supporting key business processes.

WHAT - Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • With the Medical Excellence Senior Project Manager, support project management of routine business operations (e.g., objectives/KPIs, medical and field plans, congress activities) within North America Medical Affairs with a focus on operational and governance support for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) & Real-World Evidence (RWE) team projects.
  • Creation and maintenance of status tracking system across projects for Medical Affairs overall and within individual Medical Affairs teams, including medical and field plans.
  • Support content organization and review process for internal presentations and materials, including management of meeting set up, minute taking and distribution.
  • Drive review and execution of contracts when applicable, including coordination with relevant internal stakeholder groups (Procurement, Legal, PV, etc.).
  • Coordination, collation and undertaking of transparency reporting consolidation for the team.
  • Coordination with external vendors to align on project status, budget, meeting coordination, and actions follow-up, including monitoring project budgets and scope.
  • Undertake a range of administrative tasks and other projects and activities as required.
  • Serve as a back-up point of contact for the Medical Affairs team, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with Medical Affairs colleagues and cross-functional partners at local and global level.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen U.S. staff.

HOW - Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge & Experience (essential):

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced degree in life science preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree
  • Demonstrated 3 years of experience in project management and/or operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,000-$134,200. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program.

The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and demonstrated skills.
