Job Title: OpenShift Architect with GCP Experience

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid preferred)

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift Architect with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of containerized application platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, enterprise DevOps practices, and hands-on experience deploying scalable applications using OpenShift on GCP.

• Design and architect enterprise-grade solutions using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform on GCP.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to design scalable, secure, and highly available platforms.
• Define best practices for container lifecycle management, configuration, monitoring, and automation.
• Provide guidance on application modernization, microservices, and cloud-native development using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Develop templates, Helm charts, and operators for consistent application deployment.
• Implement service mesh (e.g., Istio) and API management practices.
• Troubleshoot performance, networking, and integration issues across OpenShift and GCP environments.
• Mentor engineering teams on OpenShift and containerization best practices.

• 8+ years of experience in IT with 3+ years of OpenShift/Kubernetes architecture and administration.
• Hands-on experience in GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC, Stackdriver, and Artifact Registry.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Tekton.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Solid understanding of containers, networking, and security concepts in cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible.
