Summary

Job Description: Looking for one-week onsite smart hands network support technician that has facilities experience in data center environments. Must understand rack/elevation drawings, ability to rack/stack Cisco Nexus Spine and Leaf switches, Work with remote lead engineer in troubleshooting layer one port enumeration between device components during installation, and configuration phase of deployment. E

Skills:

· Experience in deploying ZPE console server and collaborating with remote engineering resources and project management tasks schedule

· Be able to assist remote Networking, Security, Compute and Storage resources to get initial access via screen share

· Screen share to deploy Firepower, OOB connectivity, and ZPE console configuration for CLI access

· translate installation guide requirements to site planning preparation checklist

· Be able to navigate and comprehend port enumeration excel spreadsheet to hardware component(s) connectivity

· understand physical medium connection such as cable type & transceiver types (Fiber MMF/SMF, SFP, Twinax, e.g.) and troubleshoot faulty transceivers/cabling

· Ability to run through Bill of Materials and cross verify layer one components have been received

· Port Connectivity and layer one troubleshooting

· Understand airflow considerations is front to back to determine rack/stack placement and execution

· Work with customer to RMA any components deemed defective during troubleshooting and staging phases

· Update Layer 1 and Rack Elevations Visio drawings

Requirements:

Has necessary toolsets for setup install and working laptop

o Number 1 and number 2 Phillips-head screwdrivers with torque-measuring capabilities

o Flat-head screw

o Power drill, if needed

Nice to have:

· Prior Cisco Nexus spine and leaf rack/stack and layer one connectivity experience

· Patch Panel troubleshooting to determine faulty cable or faulty structured cabling/Patch panel/device connectivity

· DC Facility experience

Certification a Plus: CCNA, CompTIA Network Plus

Duration: Part-time/Onsite/one week

Location Site: Denver, CO

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
