Responsible for providing information system and information management support for multiple clinical departments at Methodist Healthcare. The Clinical Systems Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the selection of clinical information systems software and systems, implementation and support of clinical information systems software. Other responsibilities include training and coordination of hardware installation and support. Defines, analyzes, and adapts clinical department workflow to support the implementation and utilization of clinical information systems and/or to enhance the management of clinical information. Defines, tests, and maintains custom and/or commercial software used by or in assigned clinical departments. Plans and coordinates multiple clinical information systems projects for assigned departments. Develops, conducts, and/or coordinates information technology and/or information management training programs for clinical departments, medical staff, students and others as required. Coordinates new services requests - network, hardware and software for assigned departments. Communicates effectively by promoting the flow of information within and outside the department. Demonstrates initiative in identifying opportunities for self-development and enhancement of professional competency. Education/Formal Training Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Associate's Degree Allied Health Associate's Degree Information Systems Associate's Degree Nursing Bachelor's Degree Clinical Work Experience Requirements 1-3 years Healthcare information systems Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to work independently and to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in a wide range of circumstances. Ability to travel any area of the organization, both local and remote as needed. Must provide own transportation. Ability to read, comprehend and prepare moderately complex written materials such as software documentation. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing information management concepts and methods to non-technical users. Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and excel. Supervision Provided by this Position There are no lead responsibilities other than those inherent with project coordination assigned to the job. Physical Demands Normal office environment.
