The Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) occasionally has the need to hire non-tenure track, One-Year Lecturers to teach in its Bachelors/Masters of Mechanical Engineering program. Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction in the program, advising students, and participating in scholarship activities serving the college, university or local community as needed. Minimum Qualifications To be considered as a one-year appointment lecturer, a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study from an accredited institution is required. A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required to teach graduate-level courses. Discipline Specific Required Qualifications Preferred Qualification Applicants should have one or more of these qualifications. 1) Experience with Arduino microcontrollers for measurement and control. 2) Experience using and/or teaching engineering graphics with SolidWorks. 3) Experience teaching and/or using equipment normally associated with Thermal-Fluids and Engineering Materials laboratories 4) Experience with Machines used in manufacturing of Senior Design project prototypes.
