The On-Site Architecture Technical Office Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between architectural design and construction execution. This role involves managing technical documentation, ensuring design compliance on-site, and resolving any architectural issues that arise during construction. The role requires close collaboration with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that projects are executed according to the architectural plans and standards.
Responsibilities:
Architectural Design and Planning:
Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop architectural concepts and design proposals for construction projects
Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, quantity surveys, subcontractors' interim payment invoices, material procurement schedules, and documentation by project requirements and regulatory standards
Construction Oversight:
Provide on-site supervision and technical support during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with architectural plans, specifications, and quality standards
Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify issues, and implement corrective measures as needed
Coordination and Communication:
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to coordinate project activities and resolve technical queries
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless project execution and ensure alignment with project objectives
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to uphold architectural integrity and design intent throughout the construction process
Conduct periodic reviews of construction workmanship and materials to verify compliance with architectural specifications and industry standards
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
Analyze architectural challenges and propose innovative solutions to optimize project outcomes while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints
Make informed decisions regarding architectural design modifications, material selections, and construction methodologies to address project complexities effectively
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or a related field
Proven experience as a Technical Office Engineer or in a similar role within the architecture or construction industry
Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and technical documentation
Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Skills:
Professional certification (e.g., LEED, PMP) is a plus
Experience with large-scale or complex architectural projects
Knowledge of sustainable design and green building practices
