Senior Occupational Therapist – Tipperary (Rehab Unit)

€40-€50 per hour | 35 hours per week | 6-month contract with potential extension

Emerald Locums are recruiting on behalf of our long-standing client for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a rehabilitation unit based in Tipperary. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a short-stay, 21-bed older persons service providing post-acute rehabilitation care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload and deliver comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation plans for patients post-stroke, orthopaedic surgery, or other medical events
• Conduct seating, cognitive, and functional assessments (including kitchen assessments, upper limb retraining, and home visits)
• Participate in integrated discharge planning and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Support clinical governance through supervision, documentation, and adherence to professional standards
• Contribute to service development and team leadership alongside management
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist
• CORU registration is essential
• Experience in rehabilitation or older persons services is desirable
• Strong clinical reasoning, organisational and communication skills
