Pay Range: Compensation for this position is $70,000-$85,000 plus an estimated additional ROA annual compensation based on division performance.

The responsibilities of Occupational Health Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
Worker's Compensation Claim Management
Developing, organizing and delivering Health and Wellness Training
Compiling, reviewing and report injury/illness statistics
Administering the plant drug, alcohol, hearing conservation and vision testing programs
Participating in division and company safety activities, initiatives and audits in the plant
Emergency response team planning
Reviewing, developing and authoring safety and health policies and procedures
Assist with JSA/ Work Instruction development
Assist in incident investigations; support other department roles as needed.
This position requires availability for communication 24/7 for emergencies, however, routinely works day shift, Monday through Friday 5:30am until 2:30pm. Applicants must have willingness and ability to travel several times per year, up to a week at a time, for safety meetings, audits and best marking. This is a professional position with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility and willingness to continue to grow professionally.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
No relatives employed at the Nucor Steel Auburn facility
Supervisor and Manager recommendation

Demonstrated commitment to quality, profitability and continuous improvement
Preferences:
New York State EMS Certification and/or New York State Licensed Nurse
Safety professional degree and/or certification
Experience in an industrial setting
Occupational health experience
General knowledge of Worker's Compensation, OSHA and ADA
Experience in occupational health and safety program development and training
