This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing health-related cases, and leading a team of healthcare professionals to promote a safe and healthy work environment for all City employees. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Occupational Health Services team. Supervise and manage Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and other healthcare staff. Ensure staff maintain up-to-date training, certifications, and knowledge of industry best practices. Oversee the Return to Work and Disability Management programs, ensuring timely and safe reintegration of employees. Manage the City’s occupational vaccination program and coordinate health and wellness programs. Perform and supervise clinical assessments, screenings, and interventions to evaluate employee health and work readiness. Provide case management for complex health cases, including occupational exposure, ADA accommodations, FMLA certifications, and return-to-work evaluations. Collaborate with Occupational Safety to conduct workplace assessments, ergonomic reviews, and risk management. Ensure compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant health and safety regulations. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy working environment. Collaborate with various City departments, external medical providers, and regulatory agencies. Manage the Occupational Health Services budget and prepare reports on program performance and health trends. Prepare and present reports on program performance, health trends, and compliance metrics. Oversee the maintenance of medical records, ensuring confidentiality and legal compliance. Current CPR certification. Must have a current and valid driver’s license. Experience supervising and/or managing Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants and/or other healthcare staff. Exp performing and supervising clinical assessments, screenings, and/or interventions Experience with OSHA, NIOSH, ADA FMLA, and/or other relevant health and safety regulations. Experience with developing and implementing health and/or safety policies and procedures.
