Summary

OBGYN (Position starting July 2026) Full-time position - Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p Gene Wright Community Health Center POSITION PURPOSE The OBGYN provides comprehensive medical care to patients, including obstetrics and gynecology services. This position supports patients through all stages of reproductive health, from family planning and prenatal care to delivery and postpartum support. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: * Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. * Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology. * Valid medical license to practice in the state of Ohio. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Comprehensive knowledge of obstetric and gynecological practices, procedures, and guidelines. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of three years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology (preferred). SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with patients. * Proficiency in medical record-keeping systems and relevant software. * Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. * Current CPR and First Aid certification required. * A valid driver's license and reliable transportation BENEFITS: * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Insurance (Medical, Dental, and Vision) * Paid Holidays * 403b Retirement with up to 8% match (starts at 3% and increases with time of service at HPWO) * Eligible to Apply for National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment * Continuing Education Money ($3,000) that can be used for license, DEA, memberships, CE classes and travel expenses. * Annual Raises * Training Opportunities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: * Perform medical examinations and diagnostic testing related to obstetrics and gynecology. * Provide prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care, including high-risk pregnancies. * Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning. * Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, infections, and menopause-related concerns. * Perform minor surgical procedures and assist with or conduct major surgeries as needed. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. * Make appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals and community resources. * Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies. * Educate patients on maintaining healthy lifestyles and preventative care. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is mostly sedentary demanding sitting, some walking, lifting, and bending. Those physical movements and the degree of mobility, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination normally associated with duties in an office setting will be performed on a repetitive basis. This also includes bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and walking. The ability to distinguish letters and symbols as well as the ability to utilize telephones, computer terminals, fax machines, and copiers is required.
