All about the role:
For our Food Preservation Organization, we are looking for a New Product Introduction Engineer in China to support activities in the Product Development of OEM suppliers, with the aim to deliver best in class consumer experiences.
In this role you will deliver a step forward improvement of quality working in prevention and being reference at OEM supplier’s site within quality team for New Product development.
Reporting to the Food Preservation Quality NPI Manager, you will guarantee the common rules, methodologies and standardization across functions and plants.
What you’ll do:
- Represent Quality in project execution, ensuring timely delivery of quality outputs and active participation in preventative activities.
- Handover the quality plan to the OEM site team after full range ramp-up, validating the project transfer.
- Act as liaison between the business team and OEM site Quality team for smooth project execution.
- Manage Quality activities according to project timelines, checkpoints, and deliverables.
- Promote a consistent, collaborative approach across functions to meet quality requirements and targets.
- Translate project needs into a data-driven validation plan, supporting decisions with test evidence.
- Support DFMEA and PSRA (risk assessment), proactively addressing potential issues.
- Participate in PFMEA sessions to support manufacturing deployment and process controls.
- Collaborate with R&D to define the test plan evaluating new technical solutions and product robustness versus current models.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based evaluation documents as essential project deliverables.
- Promote and coordinate the involvement of the OEM site Quality Team particularly during product industrialization.
Who you are:
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 3–5 years’ experience preferably in R&D and/or Quality.
- Knowledge of Food Preservation (refrigeration) and cooling system thermodynamics.
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with related methodologies.
- Assertive and influential, with strong negotiation and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Data-driven, digitally savvy, and quick to learn with a broad, consumer-focused mindset.
- Results-oriented, with a collaborative, business partner approach.
- Comfortable in international, cross-functional environments; able to network at all levels.
- Passionate about improving consumer experience through product innovation.
- Willing to travel frequently within China (approx. 50%) to OEM supplier sites.
- Flexible working hours to connect with global teams across time zones, especially in Western time zones.
- Good written and spoken English.
Where you’ll be:
The position is based in China, preferably in our site in Shunde. Other locations within China may be considered if there is flexibility to travel regularly to Shunde as needed.
