Title: W2 MID-LEVEL JAVA DEVELOPER
Pay Rate: $60-70/hr.
Location: PARTIAL ONSITE > 2 DAYS/WEEK IN PASADENA, CALIFORNIA (91101)
Must currently live within 40 miles of Pasadena, CALIFORNIA (no exceptions)
Contract Length: 6-12 months
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of Enterprise level Java development experience
- Version Control > proficiency with systems such as Git
- Development tools > experience with tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Jenkins
- Databases > familiarity with SQL and NoSQL
- Testing > experience with unit testing, integration testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Agile and Waterfall methodology experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Certifications – MUST have at least one of the following
- Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE Programmer
- Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) - not required
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) - not required
- Spring Professional Certification
Responsibilities
- Write, debug, and maintain high-quality Java code
- Apply Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles to build scalable and maintainable software
- Design and develop Microservices-based applications
- Develop and manage batch processing systems
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Contribute to projects following the Waterfall methodology, as required
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Document code, processes, and procedures for future reference and maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development practices
Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this position is USD $60/hr. - $70/hr. and is an Exempt role.
