Our Night Operations Manager needs to supervise and coordinate activities to ensure smooth operations during the night shift. They will have to receive incoming packages and process outgoing packages nightly. They should have a good understanding of OSHA standards. They will need to have the ability to multitask, leadership, and organizational skills, and critical thinking skills. They will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Prioritizing and completion of night sorting for all our warehouses including the paychecks facility and the route sorting for Rocky Hill.
§ Oversee linehaul operations, this includes inbound from clients, and internal line halls to our other warehouses. Communication with inbound Clients on any receiving and scanning issues.
§ Adherence to company policies, safety regulations and maintenance with the sort machines
- Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment, like forklift safety and OSHA safety regulations. Compliance with all certifications
§ Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations
§ Work with Safety and Compliance manager on trailer location and ensure trailer maintenance is completed as needed.
§ Optimize shift scheduling, labor planning and workflow to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Conduct team briefings, provide coaching, and drive performance through engagement and accountability.
- Generate nightly operational reports and escalate critical issues as needed.
Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs and stand for long periods of time. Must be forklift and pallet jack certified. Comfortable working in a face-paced environment
Knowledge and Experience
At least 5 years of warehouse management experience and being accountable for a warehouse. Possess strong management skills. Be able to communicate clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing. The ability to work in a fast-paced, data driven environment.
