Summary

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement solutions using the OpenText AppWorks platform.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain entity models, business rules, workflows, and user interfaces within the AppWorks environment.
  • Utilize strong Java expertise to develop custom components, integrations, and extensions for the AppWorks platform.
  • Integrate AppWorks with other enterprise systems using various integration patterns and technologies.
  • Develop front-end applications using Angular (preferred) or other relevant web technologies.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of developed applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AppWorks applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AppWorks features, functionalities, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.

Mandatory

Key Technical Skills :

  • Proven strong expertise in Java (Sun Java).
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with JDBC for database interaction.
  • Proficiency in AJAX for asynchronous web development.
  • Experience with XML and related technologies (e.g., XSD, XSLT).
  • Strong understanding and application of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) principles.

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience with the OpenText AppWorks platform (version 16.x or later preferred).
  • Experience with Angular for front-end development.
  • Experience in Entity Modeling within the AppWorks environment.

Advantage

  • Knowledge of the OpenText AppWorks product portfolio and associated technologies (e.g., Process Suite, Case Knowledge Areas :
  • Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles and implementation.
  • Familiarity with W3C Standards for web development.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design patterns.
  • Exposure to various platforms including .NET, Java, J2EE.
  • Knowledge of Web 2.0 Technologies (e.g., RESTful APIs, JSON).
  • Understanding of Enterprise Applications (ERP, EAI, BPM) concepts and integration strategies.
  • Solid understanding of Databases and Data Modeling principles (e.g., relational databases, SQL).
  • Familiarity with different Software Development Methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
